The O'pen Bic races alongside the Louis Vuitton Trophy; November 2009
The prestigious Louis Vuitton Trophy Nice Côte d'Azur commencing Saturday 7th November is the backdrop for a series of regatta where the 40 best young sailors of the region will compete in Nice's famous Baie des Anges. The official boat selected for these regattas is the O'pen Bic.
The O'pen Bic regattas will start on Wednesday 11th November and will continue the week-end of 14th-15th November. The young winner will be announced on 22nd November and will have the honour of embarking on one of the Class America boats as the 18th crew member, for the last race. The winner will also be awarded an O'pen Bic at a ceremony presided by Eric Ciotti, French Deputy and President of the Conseil Général of Alpes Maritimes.
